In April of this year, I submitted a portfolio of wedding images for accreditation to the Professional Photographer’s of Canada. Accreditation portfolios are a series of ten images with specific requirements that are judged nationally by a panel of master photographers on criteria like composition, colour balance, lighting, posing, and image quality. I was very pleased to learn that not only was my portfolio accepted, but it was accepted with a “very good” rating – my first ever!
This accreditation is for “wedding story” and must tell the story of one single wedding with ten images. It was required that I show getting ready images, formals, ceremony, and images from the reception – both full length and close ups. I choose to use a wedding we photographed last summer – Kristen and Steve’s. These two were so in love that I knew expressions would not be an issue with them! I haven’t even blogged their wedding yet because I had so many favorite images from their wedding that I could not narrow it down! Choosing out ten for accreditation was tough!
So, we are happy to announce that Dragon Hare Studios now has it’s first wedding accreditation! I am now 2 accepted prints and 1 accreditation away from my master’s – so very close! Here are the images that made up the portfolio:
