I’ve touched on lighting/posing on here before but I wanted to add a couple of portraits to demonstrate what lighting and posing can do.
With my studio lights, I have the ability to make everything bright/airy, or can add a lot of drama/moodiness. I enjoy bringing out my client’s personality and matching lighting to their preferences.
Posing plays as big of a role in a photograph as lighting does. Poor posing can lead to emphasizing body parts you may not want to bring a lot of attention to or it can make the subject look awkward in the portrait. By combining good posing with lighting that matches the mood, I can bring out different emotions/feelings in my portraits.
Here is an example of what I mean. Matthew came in for grad portraits and we had fun with different styles. It was amazing to see his portraits side by side because he looks so different in them!
