This coming weekend, May 2 & 3, is the quilt show in Vermilion. I thought it would be a fitting time to pay tribute to the women in my family that keep us all wrapped up with their talent and love.
My Grandma made me my very first quilt - a Sun Bonnet Sue quilt. I wore it out, I loved that quilt so much. When I graduated from high school, she gave me another Sun Bonnet Sue quilt! This quilt is on my bed to this day. Upon their birth, each of my children received a quilt from Grandma.
I got out all of the quilts that Grandma stitched for us and photographed them. Imagine what it would look like if I was able to get all of the quilts Grandma made for all of her family! We are very fortunate that Grandma loved to quilt. Her legacy lives on.
