“Year of the Butterfly” is the 2009 theme for Communities in Bloom. This was also the theme of the Mannville Fair and parade. Our float in the parade was a flower garden complete with three live “butterflies”! Marj’s Garden generously provided the flower garden for our butterflies to fly around in! We were thrilled when we were awarded a big red ribbon for first place for our float!
After the parade, we did portraits in our “garden” at the Mannville Fair! It was a wonderful day full of visiting with old friends, meeting new friends and photographing all kinds of beautiful butterflies!
