Image of the Moment: December 07
Image of the Moment:
I can’t say that I have one favorite image of all the ones I have taken. I could say instead that I have a favorite image of the moment! The more images I create, the more favorites that come up! I have been working at creating a database of all my images, so that if I want to find any given image I only have to type in a search word and that image pops up in my library. As I have been going back through old sessions, cataloguing the images, I have been re-finding images that are favorites. I thought that I would add in a new feature on my blog called Image of the Moment. These would be images that are my current favorites!
This was one of my last shoots at Hallmark. My son has a serious issue with eye contact, he just can’t make eye contact especially when being photographed. In my final portfolio at school, I had images of both of my girls but none of my delightful little man! In a last ditch attempt to get an image of him in my portfolio, we went to the park. It was a rainy, yucky day so we grabbed our rain gear and off we went. Initially when I went through the shoot, I loved the following two images, both of which ended up in my final portfolio at Hallmark:

But recently, when I went through this session for my library, I came across this image. I just fell in love with it when I saw it and I don’t know why I overlooked it the first time around! It also makes me relieved that I save all of my original raw files that I photograph because I never know when I go back through a session what I will see in a different way! So here it is, without further adieu, my current image of the moment (well ok, there are two images!!):
