Dragon Hare Studios is Live!
For those of you following our family’s story, we hope you join in celebrating with us at this milestone: we are now business owners! As of December 14, 2007, Dragon Hare Studios is a legal business entity!
Eleven years ago, Brian and I met online through an online chat program. I had a friend give me this program so that we could talk without incurring long distance phone charges. At the time, Brian and I were both students, I was in Alberta, Canada and he was in Michigan, USA. It remained this way for the first 1.5 years of our relationship with a few visits here and there. On the few occasions we were together, we dreamed of the day we could always be together without the fear of separation. It was during these few short precious visits that the dream of Dragon Hare came to be.
Brian and I love being together, we work the best this way. We decided way back then that we would love to own a business and work it together. To fill time on the long cross-country drives we do between our families, we would often dream of what our business would be or what its name should be. We wanted something that represented each of us, but showed that we are a team. We had just been reading about our Chinese Zodiac signs and Brian suggested “Dragon Hare”. Brian was born in the year of the dragon, and I was born a hare. I instantly loved it! It represented us and shows that we are a team! Now we had a name, but at that point in time, we still had no idea what type of business we would have. Fast forward to mid 2006, when we knew we would add “Studios” to the end of our name!
So, as of December 14, 2007, we have succeeded in a dream that began 11 years ago. Dragon Hare Studios is now real! Here’s to making dreams come true!
