Around Town

Mr. Eschuk has been busy again. I went out one evening to catch a
fantastic sky behind Mr. Eschuk’s sculptures only to discover they had
melted. I was disappointed but it made me look around and I saw this:

A few days later, I drove down the street and discovered Mr. Eshcuk had
been busy again. I hopped out of the van and dove into the snow bank
(literally, it wasn’t on purpose or pretty!) and captured the new
sculptures but I did not find the sky or the light very interesting. The
shapes are fascinating though and I knew I could emphasize that with black
and white. As soon as I took away the colour in the images, I knew I’d
found the beauty in them! Sometimes a scene is so graphic, or emotion so
powerful that colour just overwhelms the image. I think this is the case
in these images.

Once again, thank you Mr. Eschuk for providing me with such fascinating
subjects!
